In the ongoing project ‘Club culture is about to die’ (‘Partying. The end of an era’), the artist combines her oil paintings from the nightclub photos with some social media texts and found objects. The author is not just documenting young people’s lives at the highest point of their emotional tension and liberation. She is trying to comprehend, what is the point of turning an event — someone’s birthday, fancy nightclub closure or a friend’s death — into the end of an era.

Probably, the point is to answer the unsettling question, ‘What’s next?’ Under unfavorable economic and political conditions, the only possible way out is to immerse yourself in your emotions until the complete oblivion. The images are used with their authors’ permission.
